Sometimes this type of house is completely isolated, with no neighbors nearby, whereas in other cases there are few other houses in the vicinity. Drinking water is rainwater collected in water tanks, electricity is provided via solar panels and stove and refrigerator run on gas. There is no hot water in the house and the shower is usually of an outdoor type, with sun-heated water tanks. Due to this, rational use of water is encouraged. Moreover, all the necessary supplies should be bought beforehand since local stores are generally located far away. All houses are furnished with necessary furniture and appliances - some are better equipped, while others show their spartan spirit. Basically, it wasn't bad. What bothered me was that we shared the beach area with neighbors who were very loud, and there were about 10 people there. We asked them for a bit more quiet, which wasn't well-received. However, the accommodation isn't to blame. If you're lucky and the neighboring house you share the beach area with also has fewer and quieter guests, then it's great.

You definitely don't have the Robinson feeling in this accommodation! No privacy, disputes with the permanent neighbors and less empathetic landlords... 🤷
