Lighthouse description

The lighthouse was built in 1833 on the islet bearing the same name, on the southern cape of the Istrian peninsula. Porer is an 80 m wide rocky islet, situated 2.5 km from the mainland - the Kamenjak cape, a protected park of nature with beautiful coves. This lighthouse with its beautiful view is unique because of its beautiful sea bed with variety of fish species and its isolation. The stone building has ground floor only surrounded by a paved courtyard. Please note that Porer is not recommended for children due to the strong sea currents. There is a possibility of grocery delivery in arrangement with the lighthouse keeper. Transfer to Porer is organized by boat from Premantura and it takes 15 minutes.
