Before your trip, make sure you check out our advices for travelling with children.

1. An one of a kind experience – zipline in Omiš
Encourage your kid and yourself to step out of your comfort zone and experience what's like hanging 100 meters above the magnificent Cetina canyon. Even if you're not an adventurous type, the kind and professional guides will loosen you up. Before the real stuff, you have to do an excercise on a small zipline where you'll learn how to use the zipline. Then you pass on to 8 ziplines of different lengths. The minimum age is 9 years old, while the maximum age is 70 years old. The ride lasts 3 hours (it includes walking to other ziplines) so make sure you bring a bottle of water, sport shoes and good will. This will be an adventure both you and your kids will remember for a long time.
Book an apartment or room in Omiš.

Travel tip
Shake off that adrenaline you got on the zipline and visit Omiš which will amaze you and your kids with its stone cobbled streets and wonderful beaches that stretch over 20 kilometers and have different activities for children – they can rent a pedal boat, play volleyball on sand etc.
Buy yourselves an ice cream, find your spot on the riva and soak in the mediterranean atmosphere of this pirate town.

2. Wholeday fun in "Croatian Gardaland"
From this tourist season Dalmatia is richer for yet another activity for families with children. Near Biograd na moru the newly opened Fun park Mirnovec is opened. The park streches up to 45 000 acres and consists of three thematic parts – The Pirate Town, Space and The Wild West. Each of these parts hides exciting activities for kids. Other than these fun attractions, there are also different restaurants, caffes where you can take a break from all that adrenaline rush. The price of the ticket for adults is 120 kunas, for children under the age of 14 is 110 kuna, also one can buy a "family ticket" that costs 100 kuna for each member of the family.

3. Playing on the sandy beach Sakarun (Dugi Otok)
Sandy beaches are not so common on the Croatian coast which can sometimes dissapoint tourists, especially families with children unacustomed to pebble. However, the sand beaches that Croatia has enchant guests and they keep coming back to them every year. One of those beaches is Sakarun beach, located on the north side of Dugi Otok in Northern Dalmatia.
This 800 meters long beach of fine, almost white sand is encircled by a lush pine forest that has a good shade where kids can hide from the sometimes almost tropical sun. Moreover, the beach has a long shoal so kids can play carefree or swim in it. There are also restaurants and caffes where you can freshen up.
