Lighthouse description

This lighthouse was built in 1849 on the northwest cape of the island of Dugi otok. It is surrounded by a dense pine wood, beautiful bays and pebble beaches, and it is one of the most beautiful on the Adriatic. Near the lighthouse (3 km), there are villages Veli Rat, Verunic and Polje. Because of good traffic connections, guests can easily access the villages to buy groceries. Dugi otok can be reached by a ferry from Zadar to Bribinj (it takes an hour and a half), and the lighthouse is situated 9 km from Bribinj. Guests can reach the lighthouse by their own car, but they should drive carefully since one part of the road is still non-asphalted. There is a keeper at the lighthouse.
