Dog friendly beaches in Kvarner - a paradise for your four legged friends

Those of you looking for dog friendly beaches need to look no farther. We present you a sea paradise for your four legged friends – Croatian Kvarner region, which surpasses other regions in the Adriatic with the number of destinations featuring dog friendly beaches.

Lošinj Island is top pet friendly destination in Kvarner, offering as many as eight dog beaches in Mali Lošinj area stretching from Veli žal beach to Lanterna beach.

Krk Island has three nicely arranged beaches that welcome your four legged friends. The first is Redagara beach, situated in Krk, close to family friendly beach Koralj. The second is Vela plaža beach in Baška, we've already singled out as one of the best family beaches on the Adriatic. And the third pet friendly beach is Kijac in Njivice.

In Opatija Riviera there are two beaches where you can enjoy summertime with your pets – Punta kolovi beach situated between Opatija and Ičići, and a nameless beach bordering Lungomare towards Ika.

In Crikvenica Riviera there's Podvorska, a great beach for kids with a pet friendly area by the breakwater.

Cres Island features three nicely arranged pet friendly beaches: the first is located near Kovačine camp, the second near ACI Marina Cres and the third near Gavza settlement.

As far as the other places along the Adriatic are concerned, you can also find pet friendly beaches in Komiža on Vis Island, on Murter and Mljet islands, in Poreč, Rovinj, Split and in Vrsi near Zadar.

Your pets are also welcomed on all the wild beaches or the ones which don't have a displayed dog ban sign. However, keep in mind that in these cases you should also take into account other people on the beach and their possible complaints.
