"Robinson Crusoe style" houses are those located either on small islands or in remote bays accessible only by macadam roads. Sometimes this type of house is completely isolated, with no neighbors nearby, whereas in other cases there are few other houses in the vicinity. Drinking water is rainwater collected in water tanks, electricity is provided via solar panels and stove and refrigerator run on gas. There is no hot water in the house and the shower is usually of an outdoor type, with sun-heated water tanks. Due to this, rational use of water is encouraged. Moreover, all the necessary supplies should be bought beforehand since local stores are generally located far away. All houses are furnished with necessary furniture and appliances - some are better equipped, while others show their spartan spirit. Though maybe sometimes lacking in comfort, ''Robinson Crusoe style'' houses provide unspoiled natural setting, absolute tranquility and crystal clear sea, and will surely make your vacation on the Adriatic coast an unforgettable experience!

It is located in a wonderful, isolated place (there is a very small house nearby, but there was nobody there at the time of our stay. The house is well equipped (by the "Robinson apartments" standards) with a large terrace and garden, including a garden stove. There wasn't any problem with electricity and gas (fridge and stove are full okay). Water pressure was a bit low within the house, but it didn't matter for us, since the garden shower was superb. The hosts are very friendly and flexible - helpful but relaxed: a rare combination. They run a family business in the village nearby, so they are likely to be pretty close in case of emergency. Bonus: we befriended with a small group of dolphins in one of our sunset cruise (we spotted dolphins three times during our stay - maybe we won the lottery: we had never seen dolphins in this area in the previous 3 years.

For all who want a holiday with a view to rest. Extremely friendly welcome from the owner, excellent homemade wine and goat cheese. The house is OK, solar panels provide enough electricity for lights and charging one device throughout the day (output max 500watt), gas refrigerator with freezer works great. The house with two spacious terraces offers shade throughout the day, the sea is fantastically clean and with its colors and surroundings evokes strong anti-stress feelings. The surroundings are green and beautifully landscaped, but the island itself is more difficult to cross and not suitable for wandering. If you do not book a boat, you can arrange with the owner for occasional transport to Dugi otok.
