Three bedroom house near beach Veli Rat, Dugi otok K-875

When we arrived, all the windows were open and it was hotter inside than outside - over 30 oC. When we told the owner, she just looked at us strangely. With the cooking gas, it smelled strongly of gas when she opened the valve on the bottle and she said to just open the valve a little and it still smelled. When we said that we needed to replace either the gasket or the pipe or the gas regulator, which was very old and rusty, she raised her voice and said that she wouldn't go to Zadar for 4 hours because of that, even though we said it was life-threatening. She then angrily closed the bottle and said that we should cook with electricity. There was only 1 electric hob and we cooked for 2-3 times longer because we were afraid that we would be poisoned by the gas. Then she offered us 4 towels and we said that we needed 2 towels per person per week and then she brought 5 more and she should have 12 towels in 5 weeks, but we didn't want to argue. There were only 5 rolls of toilet paper and we had to beg for more. The dishes in the kitchen were dirty, we had to wash them all, and some were even rusty and so on.

The accommodation is OK, as are the hosts themselves, who are really cordial. The only problem is the beach. It wasn't written anywhere that you can't swim on the beach in front of the house, so we only found out when we arrived at the house, which shocked us. Every year we rent a house by the sea precisely so that we don't have to go to a beach with our car. According to the pictures, the house is by the sea, but it doesn't say that you can't swim there.
