AS-1065-b
NOBODY CONTACTED US REGARDING THE FIRE THAT HAPPENED IN THE AREA TWO DAYS BEFORE OUR ARRIVAL. Although the building where we were staying wasn't burned everything at the back and on the sides and the rest of the area turned to ash. Not only that but from the spots behind the house there was stil smoke coming out . When we arrived there were still 3 fire engines dealing with tick smoke coming from the trees above the main road leading to property. It was impossible to breathe . We couldn't stay out of the apartment. We locked ourselves in the tiny room coughing constantly, very afraid that the fire might break out again. We arrived late and my seven year old son was exhausted from travel and heat.In the morning the smell in the sweltering heat become even worse .I tried to contact booking.com using the phone number we found on line but it didn't work. The whole area was deserted and covered in ash .We had to leave and look for another acomodation. I expect a full refund .

The place itself was okay, but we should have been informed that a terrible smell remained after a fire two days earlier. I understand it's not the host's fault, but unfortunately, a longer stay in such a place wouldn't be pleasant. Fortunately, we only stayed one night. Sitting for several hours and breathing in such fumes made us feel ill. The host is a very nice woman, and under normal circumstances, I recommend this place.
