Four-bedroom apartment with terrace and sea view Šilo, Krk A-18770-b

For the first time we decided to rent an apartment through this portal and frankly speaking we have mixed feelings. This year we booked our holiday just before the planned date of departure, so we already had a limited selection of apartments. After booking, we received a voucher with further information and address as standard. However, we still had a few questions that we wanted to ask - the general contact provided on the website, unfortunately, only answered after 3 weeks ... You can talk), who gave us information, but it turned out on the spot that not everything was correct. Everyone was supposed to get a small and a large towel, and initially we had fewer towels than people! only after a few talks with the owner and the local agency, we got 2 towels per person, but all of them were of the same - medium size, which was bothersome especially for women with longer hair. It is also worth mentioning that the owners - an older couple, are unable to communicate in English. As Poles who have been traveling to Croatia for over 20 years, we have never had a problem to communicate with Croatians, even in our language, unfortunately this time communication was very difficult, which, in my opinion, could be due to the owner's simple reluctance ... In the description of the apartment you can find information that it is friendly to children (we traveled with 3 and 0-year-olds), but I do not know what proves this friendliness ... probably only the fact that it is located on the ground floor, because a baby cot was not available. When we arrived, the apartment turned out to be very dirty, we cleaned it for 1.5 hours so that an incidental child could move freely around it. Most of all, the floors were dirty, but so were the oven, toaster and kettle. There were a lot of dusty rugs on the floor, which we just put into the utility room. We quickly noticed a small fault in one of the bathrooms - dripping from the siphon. We immediately informed the owner about it, who tried to get her removed, but it turned out that the gasket should be replaced. Despite the assurances that he would do it the next day, for the entire 2 weeks of our trip it was not fixed, and we only got a bucket to put under the washbasin. The downside was also that the owner has a laundry room right at the entrance to the apartment, so he moved through our patio a lot, which was not comfortable. It is also worth adding that the property is not fenced, the houses are located in such a way that many people simply pass through it, which was not very bothersome for us, but we did not leave SUP equipment outside. There are several types of beaches in Silo, sandy, concrete, rocky, so everyone will find something for themselves, children should like it (3-5 minutes downhill walk to the beach, uphill or stairs). To sum up, despite a really bad first impression, after cleaning ourselves, we had a nice two-week vacation. However, having a comparison with many of the other apartments / houses we've been to, we find price vs. conditions is too high.
